Ashdown Graduate Residence Halls
Cambridge, MA

The first LEED-Gold Certified building at MIT, this new state-of-the-art graduate residence hall creates an entirely new graduate precinct and model for graduate housing. Five interconnected buildings, a housemaster’s apartment, significant “common” space, and apartments for 550 students are gathered around 2 courtyards, connecting the project visually and physically to the surrounding Cambridge neighborhood. Completed in September 2008; LEED-Gold Certified. (250,000 s.f.; 550 beds)
