2020 Philanthropic Focus

In 2020 we capped the year by making cash donations to seventeen different charities, philanthropies, and causes—with one major gift going towards the Greater Boston Food Bank.

The idea for this major annual gift initially came from Senior Associates, Associates, and Principals as the firm sought to reconsider what we could do in lieu of our annual holiday party as it became clear that Covid-19 would preclude us from celebrating in the way we had become accustomed to. In a year that has been hard for all, as a pandemic radically changed how we live and work, the idea of celebrating in a new way—by supporting those who lack access to their basic needs—was unanimously backed by the firm.

In 2020, thousands of people in our community lost loved ones, jobs, and housing, and as a result found themselves in a place where they could not provide for themselves and their families. In the wake of this the Greater Boston Food Bank has stepped in to fill those needs, and we are proud to support the work this organization is doing to eradicate hunger and food insecurity in Boston.
