TANGLEWOOD | LINDE CENTER FOR MUSIC AND LEARNING
The new Tanglewood Learning Institute will be an approximately 40,000 GSF facility constructed to house the new Tanglewood Learning Institute program. Weekend educational programming will include: master classes, open rehearsals, workshops, panel discussions, and presentations that allow participants a behind-the-scenes view of music making -- both deepening existing audience connection to music and to reach out to new audiences. This facility contains key spaces such as: a 3,700 sf multi-use space, two 2,000 sf observation spaces, breakout spaces, and a cafe. During the week, this facility will serve as a rehearsal and teaching facility for the Tanglewood Music Center. The large multi-use studio with retractable seats in the size of the Ozawa stage and can hold rehearsals for a full orchestra, freeing up Ozawa Hall for other uses. Together with Ozawa Hall, this facility will form the heart of the TMC Campus. more
