2024 Philanthropic Focus

For each of the past five years, William Rawn Associates has made a commitment to support a deserving local nonprofit with a major firmwide gift. Each year, we have tried to target our giving to address a particularly timely need within our community; a gift that looks to aid those who are tackling some of the most pressing challenges faced by our neighbors throughout Greater Boston and the region.

As we enter 2025, it is hard not to reflect on political and cultural dynamics that are challenging our community's and our nation's values. Based upon a wave of hateful rhetoric and promises of mass deportations, few groups will be more negatively impacted and threatened than our immigrant and refugee neighbors. For over 30 years Boston's Refugee and Immigrant Assistance Center (RIAC) has been providing critical services embracing newcomers to the Boston area while celebrating diversity and providing equal opportunities for all to thrive.

Over 400 years of Boston history is literally a reflection of the contributions of generations of refugees and immigrants who came seeking a better life, often facing fierce prejudices and headwinds - yet they made our region a richer and more diverse place. We are proud of the work being done by RIAC and hope you share in our enthusiasm by contributing to their organization through volunteer work or donations.
