Participants of AIA25 joined us for the King Open/Cambridge Street Upper Schools and Community Complex Tour as part of the Committee on Architecture for Education Touring Symposium. This curated bus tour on Wednesday, June 04 highlighted four outstanding projects across the continuum of learning, highlighting Boston based recipients of the AIA Education Facility Design Award that exemplify the future of learning spaces. Attendees engaged with project architects and client representatives to get firsthand exposure and appreciation of what makes these projects so impactful for its students and communities.

The award-winning King Open/Cambridge Street Upper School Complex is a net-zero energy combination of daycare, two schools, a branch library, public pools, and community center that serves as a neighborhood resource. The tour was followed by a facilitated discussion where attendees shared their thoughts and identified common ground amongst these projects that have been recognized as state-of-the-art learning facilities.
