AIA25 Hard Hat Tour: Public Science Common at the Museum of Science

Construction is ongoing at the Museum of Science! Participants of AIA25 were able to join us for a hard hat tour to gain a behind-the-scenes look at the renovations. Highlights included the flexible, glass-enclosed, LEED Platinum-designed Public Science Common hovering over the Charles River, the revamped Live Animal Garden, and the new inclusive restrooms.

With insights from the Owner, Architect, Structural Engineer and CM, the tour showcased the complex renovations in a busy, operational museum, and the innovative solutions used to manage construction without traditional land-based access. Collaboration and early trade-partner participation is helping make it possible to achieve design excellence.
