The first LEED-Gold Certified building at MIT, the Ashdown Graduate Residence Halls create an entirely new graduate precinct and model for graduate housing. Five interconnected buildings, a housemaster’s apartment, significant “common” space, and apartments for 550 students are gathered around 2 courtyards, connecting the project visually and physically to the surrounding Cambridge neighborhood.
